The first L-pbf (SLS) printer I made. The laser control.
The laser from the Chinese Laser cutter
The laser bought from the laserobject. The wire connection and the cooling water connection is completed.
After connection, the test unit for the laser emmission.
After testing, the new laser is installed.
The laser control unit using arduino board is connected with the laser power supply.
The power supply use the very high voltage around 30 KV. It is very dangerous.
The control use the PWM control.
The new laser is installed.
Parts I bought from the lightobject.
I bought all of the laser part from the lightobject web site in US. But the parts are all made in China.
This is the order of the sampe copy.

The second version Willybot L-PBF machine(SLS) is fabricated.
The second version Willybot L-pbf machine used the professional LM guide.
LM guide is installed. The first version is the belt controlled.
When I find The LM Guide drawing and the other drawing,I will upload, but this blog can not attach the drawing files.
Pls tell me how to upload the file.

The stepping motor NEMA 17 and the blade from the laser printer and the ink jet printer is the parts I found.
First I bought the Chinese Laser cutter.
To know the laser system. I bought the Chinese laser cutter. This is cheaper than the laser tube and the laser power supply. But the manual for the laser is not good for me to develop the laser PBF(SLS). The poor information.
My history of my metal 3D printer. Willybot
2013, I tried to make the SLS printer.
More than 1000x1000x1000mm size and the weight 1 ton, I try make it with my senior.
I use the Solidworks to draw the printer drawings.
Before this time, I was very famous of the Willybot fdm 3D printer in Korea. I made the box type fdm printer and gave the technology to Korean FDM company.

This is not my job. This is my hobby.
So it takes time to develop and finish because I am very busy. But I try to do
it for the open source people and the people who want to make the SLS printer.
I developed the sand SLS printer myself and gave the technology to Korean company. But the result is not good for me.
Anyway I want to make the open source desktop SLS printer and the
desktop metal printer such as Reprap.
I try to write my skill learned from
the open source 3d printer. I want to share my knowledge from the open source.
This is not for the commercial purpose but my
hobby.

The laser system is very dangerous because
the light can not be seen but the danger for the eyes and the voltage is very
high so you can be died of the very high voltage.
Please keep in mind this. This is for the
specialist and professional area.

The low cost laser system : CO2 laser
using glass tube.
From China but I
bought it from US.
Normally I use the 40W CO2 laser.
Max is 150W ,2 years
ago but I do not know.
PWM power supply
If you want to make the metal printer, you can use the LED laser or the
fiber laser.
Recoating system & Powder feeding system
The control system is based on the Arduino
hardware controller.
The control Software for the SLS printer.
The added program of the sliced file.
Because the FDM slicing sw does not have the Laser G-code.
Powder : The sand poweder from Japan
chemical company.
It is compatible with EOS S750 machine but the machine is discontinued.
The first time I will develop for the sand powders. And then PA plastic
powder and the metal powder.
